The Aguda, The National Association of GLBT in Israel, the pioneer gay organization in Israel, is a human rights organization representing the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
The Aguda is a national grassroots, volunteer based, nonprofit organization. It promotes and advances new initiatives and cultivates leadership in partnership with all sectors of the community.
The Aguda strives to achieve full equality for gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgender people. It also aspires to create a public and social climate of acceptance and respect for the gay community and its individual members.
The Aguda will act to:
•Represent the GLBT community and to work to better its legal and social standing, enabling it to become an integral part of the Israeli society, with full equal rights to for its members.
•Serve the GLBT community by identifying needs and providing adequate and professional responses to such needs.
•Integrate and include disadvantaged and alienated groups
