Our History and Progress
The Tel Aviv Sexual Assault Crisis Center, was established in 1978, to assist female victims of sexual assault with a 24/7 Hotline for Women and diverse other services. It was the first such entity in Israel and remains the largest in its field.
The population served by the Tel Aviv Center is today approximately 1.2 million. The Crisis Center evolved in 1982 into an independent, fully accredited, non-profit organization and in 1990 added a Hotline for Men. A designated Hotline for Religious Men and Youth, a special outreach program for Religious Women and Girls and a Russian speaking New Immigrant Hotline were added also, as an adjunct of the Women’s Hotline.
