Music can create better human beings, tolerant and open-minded, especially in a multi-cultural society, abundant with conflicts. We bring quality music, along with our Arab-Jewish Youth Orchestra, to a wide range of audiences and young people.
Youth and Music Israel is a non-profit organization. Its objective is to enrich children, youth and adult audiences through high-quality music. YM Israel is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports. YM Israel is also a member of Jeunesses Musicales International, a worldwide federation seated in Brussels, encompassing 40 member-states. YM Israel is active in a variety of related fields: YM Israel produces some 200 concerts and musical programs annually in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and in community centers. It organizes Music Camps during holiday vacations, the Paul Ben-Haim Contest - Young Musicians Perform Israeli Music, musicians exchanges abroad, and the Arab-Jewish Youth Orchestra. Chairman of the board is Prof. Tzvi Avni, renown composer and teacher, and the director is Dr. Meir Wiesel , who had also been President of Jeunesses Musicales International in 1996-1998.
