"Signs of Judaism" now available!
31/10/2011
We have recently finished the creation of a unique dictionary of Jewish terms in ISL (Israeli Sign Language) on DVD, together with an accompanying manual. The dictionary, which we have begun to distribute & sell across the country and overseas, is devoted specifically to Jewish words, concepts and blessings and includes translations to Hebrew and English together with a short, clear video clip of each sign. It will greatly benefit the large number of Jews who are deaf or hard of hearing, their families, rabbis and professionals in the field. This project was made possible by a generous donation from Ms. Miriam Daum and is dedicated to the memory of her beloved parents, Martin and Fanny Daum, of blessed memory. For more information about the DVD or manual, or to buy a copy, please contact us!

Jerusalem Post: "Jewish terms on new digital sign language 'pictionary'"
10/01/2011
The Institute for the Advancement of Deaf Persons in Israel (http://dpii.org) is launching a computerized “pictionary” for those who use sign language, with more than 700 sign patterns for Jewish terms, in the Israeli sign language. The dictionary with pictures include entries in English and Hebrew, and the signs were painstakingly amalgamated and documented from Israeli users of sign language, who had naturally developed signs for terms such as shofar, Rosh Hashana and kapparot. The dictionary is being translated into Russian.
