The Amichai organization develops and supplies community based services for children,youth,and adults with developmental disorders, based on the belief that every person has the right to be a community member,and enjoy the rights given to all members
The Amichai organization works for people with developmental disabilities, in an effort to integrate them in the community.It does so by combining a social perspective with the attempt to address each individual, with his changing needs, abilities and support system, and to answer the difficulties of his family members and the community in which the organization operates.
The organization works seven days a week, 365 days a year, in a number of programs that include:
Community based Accommodation
Therapeutic day care centers
Social centers for young children
Weekend activities
Holiday activities
Social centers for autistic children and youth.
The Amichai organization ascribes great importance to integrating people with disabilities in the community, hereby holding many occasions promoting that goal. Alongside its ongoing activities, the organization works with the community and has many joint events in which everyone gets together and form new and direct connections with each other
