Our History and Progress
Technoda Science and Technology Education Center was established in 1986 to provide enrichment classes during school hours and after-school activities in science and technology for disadvantaged children in the Givat Olga neighborhood of Hadera. High-quality programming quickly drew hundreds, then thousands of children -- including immigrants from Ethiopia and the former Soviet Union -- from other parts of Hadera and the entire central region.
In 2006, a modern new campus was opened, which as of October 2009, inlcudes a stellar observatory and planetarium, simulated medical education unit, 10 science, technology and computer laboratories, a separate preschool unit, science library and the first interactive exhibit hall. Presently in development are an additiona exhibit hall and an extensive outdoor science park.
