The original purpose of the association was to create a change in education but during its years of activity attention was directed to further projects in social welfare in order to create equal opportunity in various fields for children and teenagers of the city, to strengthen family units, and to transform conceptual and social relationships between the authorities, the community, and the individual. It is active therefore in developing social, welfare, and community affairs by means of non-formal education in accordance with its ideological principles, and runs some clubs and centers open to all residents.
