ACHLA is a nonprofit organization in Israel that provides innovative interdisciplinary, holistic and family-centered care for families with one or more members with complex special needs who are in crisis or distress.

ACHLAs' HEYANUT Center is a new, innovative, and responsive model of care for working with this sector. The Center serves as a long term "case-manager" and offers ongoing treatment, support, counseling, and advocacy for individuals and their families throughout their entire lives. We provide care to families with one or more members with intellectual, developmental, behavioral, emotional and/or physical disabilities and special needs. We primarily serve families who are confronting overwhelming and exceptionally challenging situations (e.g. multiple and intersecting disabilities), in acute distress or crisis, and/or those who have difficulty finding space in the existing special needs framework that reflects and addresses their reality and needs. The center works with the numerous organizations that these families go up against to advocate for their needs.
