Our History and Progress
The Arab-Israeli Center for Technology and Hi-Tech was established in 2008 as an Israeli non-profit organization in response to the dearth of Arab Israelis employed within the hi-tech sector as well as in response to the high unemployment rates among Arab Israeli college graduates. Located in Nazareth in the Lower Galilee, the Center encourages cooperation between the Arab sector and Israel’s hi-tech industry - as well as raises awareness among government officials - in order to encourage the integration of Arab Israelis within this successful and thriving field within the Israeli and worldwide economies. The Center aims to decrease social and economic gaps within Israeli society; promote economic prosperity among Arab Israelis and, thus, among Israeli society as a whole; and improve co-existence between Arabs and Jews within Israel.
The Center is committed to co-existence between Arab and Jewish Israelis as is reflected in the fact that the Center was founded by an Arab and a Jew.
