Many citizens identify problems in their local setting and think about creative solutions to better the current condition. However, lack of time and resources usually discourages them from pursuing their ideas any further. This is where Mali comes in: we invite citizens to donate their ideas which we then implement and bring to fruition, offering any kind of help that's within our range of action.
Our first project is the Angels Initiatives. This is a unique donation program that has both social and environmental impact: we invite the public to donate their bottles and cans with deposit value and their old mobile phone. The bottles go to recycling, and the deposit money to nonprofit organizations according to the donor's choice. We hold monthly "collection days" in cities and in smaller municipalities and workplaces on a continual basis. So far, we have collected close to 60,000 bottles and raised thousands of ILS in in donations for leading Israeli nonprofit organizations and causes.
