With Chanuka on the doorsteps, 8 days of Jewish Empowerment, we are empowering woemn, girls, children and seniors all over Israel as part of our 10 day Circle of Strength Adventure! Our 10 female self-defense and martial arts instructors from abroad arrived and went straight to work teaching classes for youth in various places in Judea and Samaria (aka The West Bank). After a Pot Luck Orientation Dinner and a night's sleep, they performed Chi Gung and BLISS conditioning exercises in the Cardo, an old Roman-Byzantine Road and enjoyed a tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. From early afternoon to 11:30 at night, they offered a wide variety of classes in the martial arts and self-defense for women at our El HaLev Headquarters in Talpiot, Jerusalem. Today, they are scattered all over the Central region of Israel, offering classes to almost every variety of at-risk population youe can imagine: African refugee women and children, English-speaking and Hebrew-speaking at-risk youth, religious lesbians, women with mental disabilities, wheelchair-bound young adults, senior adults... so stay with us as we keep on keeping on with our campaign to empower 1000 women (and others) over the remaining 7 days.
