	About the Project The LEGAL SERVICES of the Aguda promotes equal rights for the community, both in the public and private sectors. The services represent the community with the government and gives personal assistance to those in need. more Why this Project is important The Aguda provides expert legal representation and guidance to members of the GLBT community in cases related to sexual orientation and gender identity. The Association represents the GLBT community in legal issues, court petitions and administrative appeals. more What the project achieves 1) Legal representation of GLBT people in court: The Aguda provides expert legal representation to members of the GLBT community in cases related to sexual orientation and gender identity. The services deal with complaints such as violence due to sexual orientation or gender identity, and help GLBT people who have experienced discrimination in the work place or in public and civil services. It also deals with the legal aspects of same-sex relationships and family rights such as adoption and surrogacy. 2) The Aguda represents the GLBT community in legal issues, court petitions and administrative appeals 3) Community Advocacy and Legislation: The Assoc's legal experts prepare position papers regarding GLBT rights and present them to the Israeli parliament and its committees, the government ministries and municipalities . They initiate new legislation and revisions to existing laws related to GLBT matters. 4) The Aguda encourages open debates within professional and political forum more
