Given this reality, it is hardly surprising that for many women, children’s basic needs often fall through the cracks. As women fight for their legal rights and struggle to rebuild their lives for themselves and their children in a system that is hostile to their predicament, basic necessities such as clothes, school books, camps, and childcare sometime become more than women are capable of providing. more What the project achieves Mavoi Satum is the only organization in Israel that provides a conglomerate of social-emotional services specifically for mesuravot get and their children. In the Get Help for the Kids program, Mavoi Satum provides basic needs for the children of mesuravot get, such as childcare subsidies, school supplies, clothes, shoes, tutoring, summer camps, and enrichment programs. The specific needs are determined through a course of meetings with the social work staff who help the women evaluate their situations and target where assistance would be most beneficial. Get Help for the Kids provides an often overlooked form of support and strength that helps women and their families maintain lives of dignity and strength while fighting for their freedom. more
