Chimes Israel, a non-profit NGO, has been operating since 1991 to improve the quality of life of individuals with special needs and their families. Based on the belief that every individual has the right to develop to their fullest potential, we provide a wide range of high quality, innovative services and individually customized programs helping our clients use their own abilities and skills to lead a life of dignity, independence and community participation. Our goal is to help people with disabilities use their own abilities and skills to lead a life of dignity, independence and community participation. We strive to improve the quality of life of individuals with special needs, including cognitive, physical and sensory disabilities, autism, psychiatric disabilities through delivering a series of multi-disciplinary services to suit all sectors of society, for infants to the elderly, in the fields of education, rehabilitation, employment and leisure. The most significant change that Chimes Israel brought to people with developmental disabilities in Israel is the Individual Habilitation Plan (IHP). This model ensures the client is central in all decision making, and the emphasis is on the achievement of their individual maximum potential.
