In partnership with migrant communities and local authorities, CIMI develops services and programs that emphasize tolerance, diversity, empowerment and protection for the most vulnerable migrants in Israel.
CIMI's activities mainly lie in the areas of anti-trafficking, labor migration, diaspora, voluntary return and reintegration, and working with the most vulnerable asylum seeker populations

CIMI was founded by the JDC in 1998 in order to share best practices in the field of diaspora and immigrant integration. Over the years, CIMI has expanded the operations of the organization, and is now assisting Israel with migration management issues, such as labor migration, refugees and asylum seekers, human trafficking and voluntary return to countries of origin. CIMI's focus is on capacity building and the development of social immigration services.
