The arid strip of land known as the Jordan Valley is located on the eastern border of Israel with the Beit Shean Valley in the north, the Dead Sea in the south, the hills of Samaria to the west, and is part of the great Syrian African Rift valley.
The region is considered crucial to Israel’s security because it serves as the eastern defensive shield against attack.
The Jordan Valley Development Fund develops projects and serves as the administrative arm to help fundraise for them. The board of directors and key personnel, all of whom are volunteers, live and work in the Jordan Valley and N Dead Sea regions.
The Jordan Valley Development Fund pledges financial accountability and utilization of funds entrusted to the fund for the designated purposes
