The Women's Beit Midrash (WBM) is a dynamic and nurturing learning environment that brings women together in Gush Etzion to study Torah, exchange ideas and build community.

Since our first shiur in 1998, our community has grown to include over 1000 women of all ages and backgrounds. Our students value their time in the Bet Midrash where they can connect with the deepest Jewish sources – and find a temporary haven from the world’s hectic demands in order to focus on personal spiritual growth.

WBM’s extraordinary faculty offers an exciting curriculum with challenging offerings appropriate for learners at every level. To meet the needs of our broad range of students, classes are offered in both Hebrew and English, and during morning and evening hours. Our teachers are master educators, whose own spiritual journeys inform their insights into ancient texts, enabling them to serve simultaneously as role models as well as instructors and tutors. To help students develop independent learning skills, many teachers take advantage of the traditional “chevruta” format, in which students grapple in pairs with new material before coming together as a class for extended discussion.
