The Hagar Association operates the only bilingual, Arab Jewish school in the Negev, serving 60% of Israel’s territory. Children learn to embrace cultural differences, not fear them, and parents take part in a thriving Arab-Jewish educational community. Together with the Israel Scouts Movement, Hagar operates the country’s only, bilingual, Arab-Jewish Scout Troop. Hagar’s Center for Shared Culture provides opportunities for Jews and Bedouins across the region to share music, culture and the arts, breaking down social barriers and building social cohesion.
