Youth are given the message, "You have tremendous potential. Right now your family cannot provide all you need to realize your wonderful potential so we, your community, will help you with this." Through a high quality junior and senior high school, dormitories, and an extensive , nurturing, enriching physical and social environment including sports and arts facilities, Aloney Yitzchak Youth Village supports its students in every way that an idea community can -- and as a well-functioning family would. Over 300 youth live on campus, joined daily at the school on campus by 400 youth from the nearby communities. Approximately 60% of the youth are new immigrants -- 51% from the former Soviet Union, 31% Sabras. The emphasis on education is evident in the Village's high Bagrut (matriculation) results: In 2012 72.8% received full certification (national average is 58.5%.) Approximately 99% go on to serve in the Israel Defense Forces; an unusually high percent in the fighting units.
