The Galilee Society is a non-partisan, non-sectarian Arab organization advancing health rights and environmental justice for the Palestinian community in Israel. The GS promotes self-representation by the Arab community in advancing their issues through local, national and international authorities by means of social and scientific research, educational outreach, advocacy, and civil society partnerships. The association includes four centers: the Health Rights Center, the Environmental Justice Center, the Rikaz Databank Center and the Naqab Department, in addition to strategic projects such as the R&D Center: Institute for Applied Research and the Al-Maissam Medicinal Plant Center. Through grassroots efforts, the GS works to raise awareness on the issues faced by the Palestinian community in Israel, aiming to improve environmental conditions and reduce health related risks through community-centered projects that address the needs of the population.
