The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance is the largest and oldest higher education performing arts institution in Israel.
Since its founding in 1933, the Academy has promoted the highest standards in the education of gifted students towards becoming professional performing artists, JAMD promotes Jerusalem as a modern capital and as a center of excellence, where students of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds meet to engage in the universal realm and language of music and dance. We promote diversity, multi-culturalism, and a multi-style academic and artistic agenda. Our students are Jewish and Arab, religious and secular, and span the socioeconomic spectrum. Our undergraduate and graduate programs attract students from all over the world. We also promote volunteerism and conduct numerous programs for the wider community, encouraging our students to combine their artistic talents with leadership development.
