The Friends of Poriya Hospital is a non-profit association (Amuta). The Amuta was established in order to obtain funds to help further development and advancement of the hospital, mainly services and facilities that are not included in the funds assigned by the Ministry of Health. In addition, the Amuta raises funds to purchase advanced equipment as well as upgrading and maintenance of existing equipment. The Amuta is responsible for the renovation and expansion of current buildings that otherwise could not be if we had to rely on the Ministry of Health alone we wouldn’t be able to provide more suitable conditions fit for this era in certain departments. We take pride in promoting nursing and custodian activity within the hospital as well as assisting inpatients in need of medical care during the rehabilitation period that can only be obtained within the hospital grounds.
