Alut operates in 3 areas:
1. research and diagnosis
2. Rehabilitation
3. Advocacy

1. Alut established the first and state of the art diagnostic service in cooperation with Assaf Harofeh medical center.
2. Alut established the first special school for autistic children, ''Yachdav'', in Tel Aviv. Since then Alut has developed and operates various rehabilitation programs and facilities for autistic people: 10 rehabilitation nursery schools, and various after school and leisure programs, 10 occupational centers and 18 "Homes for life" family like hostels.
3. Last but not least ALut, being so involved with the situation of the autistic children in Israel advocates with the Knesset to create appropriate laws that will protect the autistic people in Israel
