30 years ago, a group of spirited individuals sparked a revolution in Zichron Yaakov. We took control of their cultural, leisure, and well-being pursuits, and formed the Pensioners Association of Zichron Yaakov, which still operates today. Using a unique model, participants themselves choose, plan, and produce activities such as creative workshops, physical endeavors, and social gatherings. The association has grown into a vibrant community, providing members with support, friendship, and joy. Although few founding members remain, the community thrives with over 100 members, aged a combined 8,270 years. We enjoy spending time together, arranging rides, staying connected through calls, and often extending our gatherings to nearby clubs or cafes for lively conversations.
