The Jaffa Theater, is home to two resident companies working with Hebrew and Arab artists to promote cross-cultural understanding through the arts. The theater serves as a model for creative collaboration between diverse populations.

Jaffa Theater is unique among Israeli theaters for its social and political mission. Jaffa Theater produces plays in Hebrew and Arabic and holds two major festivals, one on Arab and Hebrew women's achievements and an international theater festival for children. The theater works with and for diverse communities, both locally and internationally. Theatrical themes include social issues, national identities and tolerance. Jaffa Theater for theater and the arts fostering cross cultural meetings while promoting mutual understanding between Hebrew and Arab and Middle Eastern culture cultivating mutual respect with the belief in a path for reconciliation and peace.
