zehut was established in response to the need that followed the activity in the field, by the non-profit organizations that operated the Jewish Identity Centers. Since then, about 60 centers have been established and the associations that operate them have also joined as members of "Identity". "Identity" is, in fact, built from the General Assembly, which includes all the heads of its associations and a more limited circle of decision makers - the management.
Although each center emphasizes different issues depending on the community in which it is located, all centers share the same goal: strengthening and establishing Jewish identity in communities throughout the country.
