Thanks to our efforts, Paid maternity leave for preemies moms was exteded, RSV vaccination policies were improved, parents' rooms in NICUs were upgraded, and the first help guide for new preemie parents has been printed and distributed in all NICUs free of charge. We play an active role in Ministry of Health committees. LAHAV provided over $10,000 worth of equipment to NICUs all over the country, in cooperation with hospital managements and often as a matching gift. LAHAV promotes awareness to premature labor risks and and to prevention strategies. We run a Web site, an online support forum and a hotline for parents support and problem reports.
