The association was founded in 2005 as an independent branch of the global Patrizio Paoletti Foundation, which develops educational programs based on research in neuroscience and psycho-pedagogy, with a focus on the *Education for the Third Millennium* methodology.
In Israel, the association focuses its efforts on two flagship programs:
**The Youth of Light Project**: This educational and vocational program supports at-risk youth through the development, production, and marketing of boutique candles at a dedicated workshop. Participants acquire life and employment skills and benefit from complementary activities, helping them integrate into educational frameworks and normative society.
**Healing Space Rishpon**: In response to the October 7th attack and the outbreak of the Iron Swords War, the Patrizio Paoletti Association established a pioneering space in Rishpon. This safe, supportive, and multidimensional environment provides both emergency and routine care to populations directly and indirectly impacted by these traumatic events.
Healing Space Rishpon offers a wide range of innovative mind-body treatments, healing workshops, and therapy sessions led by certified mental health professionals. Located in a unique natural setting, the space fosters trauma recovery and resilience-building by promoting regulation, connection, and presence, which support the natural processes of healing and rehabilitation. The atmosphere emphasizes calm, safety, compassion, and acceptance within a communal environment.
Since the war began, Healing Space Rishpon has welcomed over 3,500 survivors and their families, more than 120 bereaved families who lost their children at events near Re’im, 1,600 soldiers returning from combat in Gaza, and over 3,600 police officers who were on the frontlines.
The center facilitates therapeutic work in a safe natural environment through small, large, and individual sessions. Alongside its on-site activities, the center offers various training and rehabilitation pathways to support recovery. These include a songwriting and composition course in collaboration with the Rimon School of Music, employment integration at the Youth of Light workshop for candle-making, ceramics, and herbal extractions, group and individual writing workshops, and various growth-focused sessions.
For soldiers, the association provides a modular framework to help process and release combat experiences, reintegrate into civilian life, and strengthen their resilience.
