To increase social awareness regarding the special needs of the Arab Persons with Disabilites. To develop the social inclusion of all Arab Persons with Disabilities as individuals, helping them to become active in the community.

Al-Manarah empowers persons with disabilities by helping them to become their own strongest advocates in order to change attitudes towards disability in the Arab society. The empowerment groups foster self-awareness and decision making among the disabled while the organization’s professional staff provide support and rights consultation through a phone-assistance line. The Library for the Print Disabled offers a broad range of Arabic-language audio, Braille, large-print and electronic resources to provide the print-disabled with essential tools for a lifetime of personal and professional discovery. Al-Manarah’s Multi-Use Center provides life-skills trainings, educational seminars, and group empowerment activities. The Center features an accessible computer room with two Braille printers, as well as ten computers adapted with screen readers and two Braille displays. In addition, the Multi-Use Center includes a recording studio for the production of professional-quality audio books.
