Tamkin is the first and only NPO in the Bedouin society for diagnosis and treatment of Learning disabilities. We perform assessments and provide treatments based on remedial teaching techniques in reading, reading comprehension and writing, treat speech problems through speech therapy, provide lectures, conferences and workshops for parents and teachers aiming to increase awareness and offer tools for coping. Our intervention program includes a project for assessing and treating children in three schools in Lakia and Rahat including testing for students, remedial teaching, support for children, teachers and families to deal with the difficulties, lectures and conferences.
