The Foundation for Chabad in the Industrial zone of Ashdod was founded in the year 2010 in order to meet the needs of the people working in the area. We reach them in the day hours, while they are at their places of work. The seven members of the foundation work together with the joint purpose of bringing more Jewish activities and Torah learning to all areas, including the industrial zone.
We have chosen this area because of the unique opportunity it provides in meeting people at work throughout the day and in meeting up with Israeli soldiers. The fact that there are many commercial areas gives us access to many people. During the holidays, we also extend our activities to the many children who are on vacation
