Our chief objectives are to cheer up, support and strengthen the hospitalized patients who stumble upon the unpleasant rendezvous with the hospitals, nursing homes and various rehabilitation institutions across the country and encourage the famili Every Friday morning, Sheba Medical Center’s environment rises as we visit the different hospital wards and try to light the hospital in a slightly different light - a happy light! The volunteers load special carts packed with goods (such as sweets, soft drinks, books of Psalms etc.) and of course a big happy smile. They move throughout the hospital and provide the patients and their families with some relief and serenity a few hours before the Holy Shabbat. The medical staff of the hospital compound gives us full backup, and remind us every week that the patients are waiting for those moments of joy and pleasure when the "Happy Friday" volunteers come and visit.
