The members of the unit are certified in all ropes and climbing tasks, medical aid training, handling in streaming waters and tracing skills by Israel`s army and Israel`s police. The rescue unit handles emergency events in the desert depth and canyons where other medical aid authorities do not have the training and gear required to manage such event. All of the unit`s work is authorized and coordinated with all of Israel`s official authorities- police, fire department, "Magen David Adom" and the IDF.
