הארגון נועד לקדם את ענף הטיפול באמצעות רכיבה על ידי קידום המקצועיות בקרב המטפלים ויצוג מול הגופים המממנים בארץ ומול נותני שרות. להוות כח התאגדות בקידום הענף.

העמותה הוקמה על ידי 8 בעלי חוות שהרגישו שיש צורך לאגד את הענף לאחר שאינו מאוגד בשום צורה והדבר מהווה פגיעה קשה בענף אשר אינו מצליח להתקדם על ידי כך כי אין מתווה ודרך ואופק.
