Israelis Against Racism will work on two inter-connected axes: the first is our efforts to raise awareness through online and traditional media campaigns as well as publicized events around the signing of the Charter Against Racism. This charter, which we formulated under the auspice of the Israeli President, Reuven (Rubi) Rivlin) has already been signed by over 30 prominent leaders and received vast media coverage, with more than 6000 people joining and signing it in less than one month. Intended to create a groundswell of support for and commitment to an anti-racism agenda, these campaigns go hand-in-hand with our work with municipalities, the IDF, police, businesses, youth movements, sports clubs and academic institutions, to formulate, embed, and implement anti-racism practices and policies in their organizations. We will also work for the promotion of government legislation and policy shifts to institutionalize anti-racism policies and principals of action throughout the government in the short and long term.
