The "Books and Rescue" non-profit organization, operates fully voluntarily. On our website, we offer a fun and rewarding shopping experience for high-quality second-hand books in excellent condition, covering all types and genres – thrillers, children's books, non-fiction, and others. All proceeds from their sale are dedicated to helping fund animal rescue efforts. Since the establishment of the association, we have assisted in funding spaying/neutering surgeries for dozens of cats, including covering the costs of trapping and transporting them to and from clinics. We have purchased food and litter sand for feeders, paid for numerous medical tests and treatments, including X-rays, blood tests, hospitalizations, life-saving medications, vaccinations, deworming, flea treatments, etc. Unfortunately, there are many animals in need of rescue in the Be'er Sheva area, where we operate. Among them are dogs and puppies that arrive at the municipal pound, as well as those abandoned in the streets with no proper living conditions. Countless cats live throughout the city, suffering from injuries and diseases, being run over, abused, and often forced to survive without food or water, in both heat and cold. We are fighting against this unbearable reality and helping in every way we can to reduce the suffering. Many of the dogs and cats we’ve helped rescue have found warm homes with adoptive families, and some are living healthy, protected lives in the feeding corners of Be'er Sheva, alongside their dedicated feeders. Unfortunately, not all survive. It is important to us to do everything we can to ensure that all animals receive love, warmth, protection, and compassion, even if only for a short time. We believe that the assistance we provide, even if modest, is important for the animals of Be'er Sheva, the feeders, the activists, and everyone who loves animals. Your donations will allow us to do more for them. Reading, as an act of giving, is our story
