How we calculate the average fee

When donating online, donors are given the option to increase their donation to cover the platform fee. Historically, about 64% of donors choose this option, meaning that nearly two-thirds of donations incur no platform fee at all. As a result, the effective average fee is only 36% of the standard fee.
