The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Israel (CFFI) has been operating since 1967 with the aim of taking care of the well-being of CF patients, and helping patients and their families in their daily struggle.

Area of activities:
1. Increasing public awareness of the CF disease.
2. Diagnosing sick babies as early as possible. Early diagnosis helps extend life expectancy and quality of life.
3. Improving the genetic screening carried out before pregnancy to detect carriers of the CF gene.
4. The introduction of innovative medicines and treatments into the "health basket" (medical treatment that are reimbursed by the Israeli government).
5. Individual assistance to patients and their families, and especially to families from low socioeconomic status, in order to provide them with: help in financing daily treatments and medical equipment that is not included in the health basket, assistance with tutorial classes for the CF children that miss school because of their daily treatment and the frequent hospitalizations. The CFFI also provides emotional support when needed.
6. Assistance in exhausting the rights of the families' vis-a-vis the health funds, social insurance, and the Ministry of Health.
