Hamifal is a progressive educational framework which bases its work on the "Educational Family Model" .Each home includes several family units of 10 children aged 5-17 that live with a marrird couple and their own children. The married couple functions both as foster parents and educators. Each unit has their separate lodging with dormitories, lavatories, a kitchenette and a dining room. A number of such family units are considered a Children's Home/Village. Each Home or Village has its director, theraputic team, psychologist, social workers, art therapist, extra curriculum teachers, instructors, etc. The family leads a normal life and the children study in the nearest public schools, maintaining a daily routine.
