LIfe & Environment, The Israeli Union of environmental NGOs represents and serves about 130 environmental organizations. Empowering and strengthening its member organizations, Life and Environment provides a broad framework that fosters cooperation among the NGOs and offers vital professional assistance.
L&E is leading the effort to influence the decision-making process in Israel towards sustainability and environmental justice, as well as further integrate all these issues into the discourse of both civil society and government agencies.
Recent advocacy efforts have generated new laws, improved access to government information and greatly increased the impact of environmental organizations on both the local and national levels.
In addition, L&E coordinates a wide network of scientists, urban planners, ecologists, lawyers and economists who volunteer their expertise for critical research and social-environmental endeavors.
