The Association for the Elderly in Modiin provides services to senior citizens in Modiin-Maccabim-Reut.
We offer a range of services for issues facing the senior population:
1. Coping alone
2. Identifying senior citizens' needs
3. Mediation between senior citizens and providers of social/therapeutic services
The Association operates in full partnership with the municipality via its Social Services department. We work with JDC-Eshel (The Association for the Planning and Development of Services for the Aged in Israel), Yad Sarah, the Youth Unit of the Community Center, the municipal Pensioners' Coordinator and Pensioners' Council, Department of Social Affairs and Social Services department of the municipality, and the municipal coordinator for health promotion.
The Association operates a range of services that support hundreds of senior citizens every day, with the assistance of hundreds of volunteers. Senior citizens enjoy a wide range of enriching social events, and advanced services for health maintenance.
For volunteers, the Association is a mix of giving and receiving. It enables their self-expression, and also allows them to realize their own dreams, via teamwork or in senior citizens' homes.
The Association is registered as a non-profit organization, and is approved for tax deductions from donations based on Article 46. The Association conducts fundraising activities based on its operating needs.
