EcoOcean mission is to empower people to care for the marine and coastal environment of Israel and the region.

EcoOcean is a non-profit Israeli organization established by the Weil family and a group of leading scientists and environmentalists in 2002. The organization’s mission is to empower people to care for Israel's marine and coastal environment and the region. EcoOcean does this using research, education, and outreach. We aim to promote marine environmental protection as a high priority amongst Israel's general public and policy makers. We believe that strengthening the bond between people and the sea, using knowledge and experience, is the best way to have a positive impact on keeping it sustainable and healthy for future generations and in its own right.
