The Association was created in 2003 and is named after Colonel Menachem Zehavi, of blessed memory, who served in the Israeli Air Force and died prematurely. His family and friends saw it befitting to establish a charitable organization that would help the sick and needy, and to memorialize his legacy and extensive contribution to the State of Israel.
