Yasmin AlNagab was founded in order to improve the availability, accessibility and cultural compatibility to health rights and healthcare for Bedouin-Arab women and the entire Arab population in the Negev, the most disadvantaged and underdeveloped group in Israel. As we understand that knowledge is power, we aim at making knowledge more accessible to Bedouin-Arab women and helping them obtain the tools they need to fulfill their rights. Consequently, they will be able to be the bearers of change in the community and operate towards the realization of their rights.
In order to fulfill its vision and mission, Yasmin AlNagab operates on several levels: advocacy for health rights and improved accessibility and availability of health services within the community, lobby for the promotion of higher education in health-related subjects, and increasing the awareness of the community to health issues and their rights by culturally-appropriate lectures, workshops and long-term courses.
