Other Voice is comprised of citizens living in Sderot and the surrounding Gaza region. This group is not connected to any political party, movement or organization and represents a diverse array of people and opinions. The members of Other Voice live in an area that is characterized by conflict and violence, in which thousands of innocent people, including children and the elderly, from both sides of the border, have been harmed. The ongoing violence and escalation of the conflict has led to a deepening of mutual fear and hatred and to the feeling of insecurity on the part of the area's citizens.
Other Voice works continuously on creating ongoing contacts with civilians in Gaza. We believe that through normal human relations and mutual initiatives, walls of alienation, distrust and dehumanization can be removed.
