Call 1 operates the project Tic-Tac-Talk.
Key facts about the project:
· Objective - The project was founded with the aim of connecting mature Israelis who lack English speaking skills, restricting them in career advancement, and Americans / Canadians who suffer from loneliness and and/or who are interested in strengthening ties with Israel, for a mutually beneficial connection.
· Activities - The project pairs every American / Canadian with an Israeli (based on personal preferences) and the two speak (via free media) on a weekly basis for a period of 3 months.
· Impacts - It enables Israelis - including populations who cannot afford English courses for adults - to improve their spoken English, while Americans / Canadians get an opportunity to help others, strengthen ties with Israel and alleviate loneliness.
Feedback from our participants - both American and Israeli - indicates that the project is promoting its goals. We also received top scores from our participants (the best possible score on overall satisfaction and willingness to recommend the project), as well as very enthusiastic testimonials. Furthermore, high percentages of participants have already enrolled in additional cycles.
